ST. BONAVENTURE — St. Bonaventure College will host laptop science researcher Sai Suman for a dialog and question-and-answer session on working with machine studying and synthetic intelligence fashions.
This system, which is free and open the general public, can be held at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 12 within the auditorium (G21) of the Walsh Science Middle on campus. The title of his handle is “Exploring the Impact of Machine Studying and Synthetic Intelligence in Trendy Computing.”
Suman is a Ph.D. candidate within the College of Computing at the College of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), the place his analysis experience is within the design of AI/ML approaches and mathematical modeling for communication networks, communication networking and distributed computing.
Dr. Zahmeeth Sakkaff, assistant professor of Laptop Science at St. Bonaventure, says Suman’s work in AI, ML, and mathematical modeling is not only about analysis, however about creating instruments and insights that reshape our understanding of communication networks.
“Sai’s ardour for studying and educating, mixing idea with hands-on discovery, embodies the very spirit of innovation and mentorship we attempt to domesticate,” she stated. “He’ll share his experience and, little doubt, spark new concepts inside us all.”
Suman is the creator of a number of publications regarding the use of ML/AI in cybersecurity, menace detection and high-energy physics and acquired the excellent graduate analysis award within the College of Computing at UNL in 2024. He’s additionally actively concerned in committees that plan conferences sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Affiliation for Computing Equipment (ACM).
Suman’s go to is co-sponsored by the college’s Visiting Scholar Committee and Division of Laptop Science.
