Italian watchdog warns publisher GEDI against sharing data with OpenAI, ET CIO



Italy‘s data protection watchdog has warned Italian publisher GEDI to not share its personal data archives with ChatGPT proprietor OpenAI, it stated on Friday, citing concern over potential breaches of EU guidelines.

GEDI, owned by the Agnelli household’s holding firm Exor , introduced a strategic partnership with OpenAI in September to carry Italian-language content material from the publisher’s portfolio of stories shops to customers of the Microsoft-backed synthetic intelligence startup.
